Press Operator- Flexographic 2nd / 3rd Shift available; Press Helper-3rd shift

Due to the retirement of 2 long term employees-that's right, our employees are loyal and many of them have shared 10+ years with the organization, SATO-Romeoville facility is hiring for a 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Press Operator with flexographic experience. We also have a need for a 3rd shift Press Room Helper due to a Promotion.

Press Operator-2 Positions:
Selected candidates will be responsible for performing complex printing jobs on a flexographic printing press to produce high quality documents in a safe manner. Responsibilities will include:
Make-ready for each job
working from copy card specs,
changing plates and dies,
matching inks,
inspecting own work and
performing routine machine maintenance such as lubricating and replacing minor parts.

Qualified candidates must posseess a minimum 3-5 years experience operating flexographic printing press performing complex jobs using a variety of paper stock, colors and registrations, die cutting, fan folding and turrets. Mechanical ability, ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and over 50 lbs with equipment. Read, write and communicate in English. Strong basic math skills and visual color comprehension. Wide Web experience and Hot Melt a plus.

Press Room Helper-3rd Shift
The Press Room Helper will assist the press operators in the set-up, clean-up and basic running of flexo presses. Prepare cartons and pack finished product according to job specifications. Perform other duties as assigned.
Duties include:
Load paper onto press
Monitor quality of finished production
Refer quality problems or product errors to press operator
Read work order job instructions and item copy cards
Mount printing plates
Relieve operators for breaks and lunches
Follow safety procedures
Assist the press operator in upkeep of work and
Serve as a Packer with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
